Alarm system from factory?

Does the LE Titan's come equipped with an actual alarm system or is it just an immobilizer which disables the starter circuit?

In other words, if someone breaks in, will any alarm sound or will it just keep them from stealing due to the fact they don't have the key with the built in chip??

Thanks

Mine has both, factory alarm and immobilizer. The immob is from the chip in the key, and will prevent the vehicle from being started, as you said. The alarm is activated when the doors are locked, and it will sound the horn and flash the lights if the doors are opened. Even if the windows are down, if someone should reach in and unlock the door and open them, the alarm will sound. No motion dectector, though. I don't know if the alarm is standard or not, but the immobilization system is.
Hope this helps.

Its a weak system. From what I have read all someone has to do to get in your truck is go through the back slideing window which only takes 20 secs! (04's only I think)

I wanna see the poor guy who can fit in that tiny back slider. If he can, he should be stealing Beetles, not trucks.
