Clear, static cling material...

Some might consider me too anal, but I'm looking for clear, static cling plastic material to place behind the outside door handles to prevent fingernail scratches. Anyone have suggestions on where to buy. Thanks in advance.

Groit's Garage sells this stuff.

I have yet to do a bunch of small detail areas, but I just had the front edge of hood and fenders, front bumper and front edge of roof done with the 3M product and I'm pleased. I'm learning to love these films!

Not me. I see you are in Texas, up here in Upstate NY we have to deal with winter and an insane amount of salt usage. These films can make all the difference in the world. All it takes is one stone chip to get the rust started, and then the nightmares begin...

I have the hood, front fenders, lights, foglights, front half of the roof and door edges covered using the 3M stuff. I love it. Not a scratch or ding anywhere.

Someone recommended I try the 3M tape since I was not keen on a bug deflector for the front.

So 3M tape will work for that...??

I'm just a little south of Rochester.
As much as I like to complain about the cold and the snow, when it comes right down to it, I love the challenge of the snow, that is after all 1/2 the reason I'm driving a Titan; old man winter will not keep me shut inside!

Good luck with the film, oh, and if you fall in love with a ton of other stuff Groit's sells, don't come a complainin' around here...

Grew up in Syracuse and spent two years at Buffalo State. Had a number of vehicles disappear under a film of salt and rust over the years. Certainly don't miss the snow, but definately miss the hills and scenery.
