EastAL,

The Ford Powerstroke isn't "in house" its built by Navistar International in Indianapolis,Indiana.

Ford did not help design the Cummins 5.9. Just because Ford owned 10%-15% of Cummins in the early to mid 90's,doesn't mean they helped design the 5.9.Ford now owns zero stock in Cummins, and even Cummins states it here on their webpage(top line).

I really wish Nissan would come out with a small Diesel for the 1/2 ton. I think there is a huge market for smaller 1/2 ton diesels. Same towing capacities as the 5.6 but gas mileage easily up in the 20's. I still can't believe Ford or Chevy haven't done it yet. I guess they think it'll eat into their 3/4 ton sales.
But seriously, a nice inline 6 turbo diesel under 300ci. Maybe 250 hp/400 ft-lbs and 20 city/ 28 hwy. NICE! I'd be sold.
I agree, I would order one right now.

none of the changes appeal to me much.... not even the sunroof option. the minimal changes makes me feel better about having just purchased an 05. the only thing i'd be interested about upgrading is the big tow mirrors with the signals in them.... for the right price that is.

vdc and airbags were two things that really appealed to me about the titan. not being able to get them on an SE with or/bt was a huge bummer. nevertheless, i couldn't wait to get a truck and in the grand scheme of things these are pretty minor changes....

i would have been pretty interested in sunroof option, not sure if i could have afforded it, and the mirrors would definately have been nice.

I don't remember the 04 options, but the 05 SEs can be had with the OR and BT pkgs with VDC. It's in the AB (airbag) package. Unfortunately, it also requires damn near every other package as well.
