Opinions - Looking to buy an SE CC

First off. Great site. I've been lurking for a while as I've shopped for a new Titan and found a ton of great info.
I have located a Smoke SE crew cab with big tow (i'll be pulling a 25' 4500lb camper) and utility bed. It has Rockford package w/captains and lists for $35,070 and over the phone quote @ $29,277 with incentives. A few questions:
Price seems competitive, can I expect much better? Any suggestions for getting it discounted even more?
How's the Rockford system compare to the stock system is it worth the additional $?
I was told the current 05's have been remedied of the brake issue. In this true?
I'll be trading an '03 Avalanche w/41K miles. I'm sure i'll take a hit on the trade.
Thanks in advance!

Personally, I don't like the RF system at all. I think the standard 6 disc sounds much better. Not as much bass, but the mid's and high's are much cleaner.

As far as price, its sounds good, for $35,xxx is pretty high for an SE. For that much, I think your better off with an LE. Get the same package with more standard features at a better price.

What area of the country are you from? It can affect the deal you get.

Thanks for the quick reply Crash. I agree the LE may be a better option for a few $$ more. I'm from Boston. The smoke seems to be a popular color at least up here so there is not a large supply as some of the other colors like radiant silver.

We bought a Red Alert CC SE with big tow, off road, and popular bench packages (and a few accessories). Sticker was just under $35,000 and we paid $29k on the road (including titles, tags, taxes, etc). The bonus for us was that we got an additional $3k for a '95 Honda trade in which other dealers were only giving us $2200 for (so in actuality we paid $26k on the road). Also my dad wanted the Red Alert color and it was the only Titan out of about 50 that was the color!

BTW, you will absolutely love the Titan. Please test drive one before you buy it and tell me if I'm wrong!

LE's come stock with Utilty bed, captains, RF system.

I found several around the $33k - $34 mark without all the bed junk they try to add on and with Big Tow. Then you get leather (big plus as the cloth seats stain bad), memory seats, heated seats, plus some other goodies.

Shoud be able to get ~ $28/$29 even for those.

I've already test drove a few and must admit the fun factor is way high. Ram, F150, Silverado or even my current AV don't come close.
BTW, I'm dumping the AV as I've had way too many issues with it. I love the vehicle but it's time for it to go. I'm hoping the Titan will treat me better!
