eurolite fogs

what do you guys think about these fogs.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

It says its the same wattage as the stock ones but I don't want to burn my harness out. Do any of you have these bulbs or if not, do you think they are safe and look good

Probably just give you a bluer look to the light. Couldn't hurt but don't expect them to add any noticable light or last very long. Get some PIAA bulbs if you want to get more light. Just changing bulbs won't burn anything out.

The reason I am so concerned is that my roommate bought some bulbs for his stock fogs on his 96 max and his harness got burned out.

893st

Our's are 893ST meaining the connector is straight and not bent at a right angle like the headlight bulbs. It is not clear what the connector is on these but our number isn't listed. I'd ask the seller some questions first. He may even carry 893STs.

It seams a lot of these guys just use eBay for cheap exposure and operate web sites selling many more items then they have posted on eBay.

Get

Get PIAA replacements... I have been using PIAA without issues. I also tested Sylvania Silverstars and they work just as well without any wires going up in smoke.

A lot of these Ebay replacement you see are cheap units like those APC ones you see at Pep Boys, Kragen, etc. They don't have the operating life as a PIAA... real Japanese stuff, made for racing, tested in racing, legal for your street ride

I tried getting silverstars for my fogs but I can't find em. These say that the wattage is 37.5

I say just replace the foglights completley. I got some optilux ones made by hella and the look factory. Plus they're 55watts will outperform the factory 35's and the only cost me $60.00

online...

You'll probably have to end up ordering them online if you can't find them at Pep Boys or Kragen. These guys usually have the whole line... I know my local Pep Boys does. Also try Walmart... they have a small selection at a cheaper price when it's on sale.

As for the wattage... 37.5w is right. You don't need your fog-light burning at anything above that since your harness is graded for 37.5w from Nissan. The difference is that the filament are designed to burn at 4000K. Your standard Nissan units are only cooking at about 3000K.

Me... I'm not going to use standard Nissan fog-lgiths. I'm going to upgrade to something like a PIAA or Hella type fog-light that'll take H1 type bulbs. Makes life easier and also means I can run it to 4000K@65w. But I'll be running my own wiring and harness.
