antone have a base model se with no options?

I was looking at one and the only option other than what comes with an se was a bedliner (not spray in). If so did you regret not getting any other options? The dealer by me is offering 200 over invoice and offered me one og these for 21,xxx plus tax.

It would depend on what you're going to use truck for. I tow so opted for the BT package. The mirrors included with that package are a must. You can add those later at a lower cost as well as a hitch so no worries there. I also got some other goodies as well like the Rockford stereo, captain's chairs and utility bed but you can add all (except utility cabinet). At first I regretted not geting the DVD for the kids but that is a smiple add-on and more than half of the price the dealer offered. Weigh the costs to add on what you might need later versus what you're getting now.

You'll probably find that most who didn't get this option or that option (or NO options) wish that they either could find the one with options they liked, or could have afforded them at the time. 21k is a good price for an SE but for not much more you can have some pretty useful and desired options.

Well i'm going from a car and beater work truck to just the titan which is going to be work truck/everyday driver (motorcycle too). Does the big tow package offer anything that can't be added on aftermarket for less money anyways?

With enough cash, anything can be added but to answer your question, the package gets you things hard to add without breaking the bank like the tranny temp guage, lower gear ration, class IV tow hitch, pre-wired brake controller. The heavy duty battery and tow mirrors can be added cheap enough.

There's more to the "Big Tow" package than just big mirror and hitch. It also have a bigger battery (stonger amp) difference final gear ratio and transmission temperature gauge (well worth the $400 charge by Nissan). If not towing anything heavy the non BT 6500 lbs should be good. The big tow mirror itself is almost $400 if install by itself afterward.

Oh yeah, the biggest item you can't get after market is new ring and pinion if you decide to tow something big later on. The draw back is the gas mileage will decrease slightly with the tow package because of the lower gear.

I think the regular geared Titan can tow up to 7200 Lbs. But if you don't plan on towing anything heavy (+7000 lbs), I'd at least get the spray-in bed liner and uti-track option. That's super useful for carrying and tying things down in the bed. Bench seat option, it's great if you want to carry six people, and it's less than the captain chairs. I wish I had bench seat in ours.

The SE W/O the BT package tows up to 7400 LBS on the SE (XE=6500 LE=7200). And gas mileage is no different even with the lower gearing. If you're going to tow, the BT package can't be beat for the money....even if you're not towing anything heavy.

Definitely, that's a lot of equipment for the money with regards to the BT package.

I think BT package also comes with the extra transmission cooler.

I wouldn't want to miss spray-in bedliner, or the tow mirrors. But they can both be added afterwards. Utilitrack, which I also really like, can not be added later.

I also wanted to get side airbags, but to get that I also had to get DVD and sunroof (IIRC). What a scam!

It was my understanding that you couldn't just get the big tow package alone. In order to get the big tow, you have to get popular package and traction package

Well a local dealer told me he had one with big tow and utility package only. I'll find out if he's telling me the truth or not tomorrow when i go there. I bet it will be a different story when i get there.
