Lifted? Lowered?

I'm 61 years old (on the outside) and I've seen a lot of trends in ride height come and go. Slammed to the ground is nothing new...had a friend with a '58 Impala (in 58) that the front bumper wouldn't clear a cigarette pack on its side. Raised is nothing new either...seen that in one form or another forever. I've seen lowered in the back, raised in the front....lowered in the front, raised in the back. My personal favorite has always been down in front...NOT raised or lowered in the back, just a nice moderate rake to it...... Guess what Nissan did with the Titan?........ I like it just like it is...but it is fun to see everybody getting all p--sed off at each other for doing one or the other. Personally...I think lowered or raised are both impractical. Just my .02. Love Titans. Love the forum.

I personally like both, lowered and raised. I'm glad people are doing both. It's nice to have a vareity.

exact same thinking here lol im 65 and recently gave my truck to my son, well the titles in my name for now but he uses it when he wants to, which is everyday. he said hes gonna buy a 6" lift and big wheels/tires. this is right after he got tired of having a "slammed" 2wd truck which scraped every bump he went over. guess hes maturing into a different trend a trend that never seemed to die out and one this ol fogie agree's with him on is More Power....... since my son pays the gas bill the days of disassembled engines in the garage are coming back i guess lol.

I've had both: a slammed '91 Chevy 1/2-ton and a 2000 Ford F-150 lifted 7", and I doubt I'll ever do either again on a daily driver. In the Chevy it got really old having to slow down over every little bump so I didn't scrape the frame rails or tranny cross member. In the Ford I got sick of the stiff, bumpy ride and excessive road noise. Today, I'm all about function over form. Now I prefer making mods that better ride quality, sometimes at the expense of "cool" looks.

I agree with the more power. It never goes out of style. I plan on doing a few small things to help her out a little, but nothing drastic with gas prices what they are. Maybe a nice exhaust to start with. This thing is already pretty quick. My last car was a 92 LT1 vette convertible...think I'll get another of those (C4) when I get this Titan paid off...hopefully soon. Ol hotrodders never die...but we do get a bit more conservative I guess.
