Titan vs. Deer

Wound up being a tie... the deer actually rammed into the rear drivers side and I saw him get up and keep going...

Here's the damage:

1800 bucks total damage... $50 deductable.

Here is the obligatory "zaino will buff that right out!"

Glad you (and the deer) are okay!

Bambi lives to die another day.... Mmmm...deer jerky.

Good thing you hit him on the side, instead of head-on....could've been much worse...for everyone. I've had many a close call with deer...been lucky, so far.

I think that deer must have been drinking... Last I checked they dont even get any points for hitting trucks in the side.

Yep even the deer don't know how fast the Titan can go.

Wouldn't call it a tie if you got $1800 worth of damage and the deer ran away.

The last one I got was mostly a side impact as well. $3,000 in damage to my '95 Hardbody, I was moving right along.

LOL! Well, lets just say I'm guessing he was running on pure adrenalline until he most likely toppled over... he ran full boar into the side of my truck while I was doing 60mph easy... lol...

It was funny... the car coming the other way on the highway was stopped... i saw a deer run across and slowed to a creep.. (they always come in packs).

I didn't see any more (short grassed area with hills on either side). The other car took off... so did I.. I happen to glance in my side mirror only to see a deer full boar hitting my truck... lol! I jumped out of my seat! I didn't see any damage to the fuel tank or tires, so kept on trucking and called my insurance company... lol...

Kinda needed a buffin anyhow... the side panel is getting replaced (as well as the plastic), the passenger door is getting work done, and the tailgate is getting all redone. All at the local Ford dealership!

I told him "parts are probably backordered" and he replied "actually, Nissan is a lot better than Ford when it comes to that." I told him he must not have dealt with a Titan yet.. lol... those parts are always on backorder.

Sorry to hear your Titan needs body work, but at least ya got to love low deductables and comprehensive claims...

A couple years ago I got the front of my CRX-Si repainted for $50. I got a Canadian Goose with the hood. And let me just say, be glad your truck did not have on it what the Goose left behind for me...

Or a real "american truck" owner... LOL.

The guy at the ford dealership said he just got in an F150 with 350 miles on it that the same thing happened too... I should have looked at it to see if the sheet metal is as flimsy..
