Question To Buy 04 Or 05? Need Opinions

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TITAN EVER SINCE I SAW THIS ONE ON A FORD LOT ON A SUNDAY NIGHT. CALLED MONDAY AFTERNOON AND THEY SAID THEY WHOLESALED IT. FORD HAD IT FOR $25,900. THIS PLACE NOW HAS THE EXACT SAME TRUCK FOR $27. I KNOW I COULD GET THEM LOW SINCE I KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE TRUCK. WHAT PRICE DO YOU GUYS THINK I SHOULD ASK FOR? OR SHOULD I GO 05 SE? MY WALLET CAN ONLY HANDLE LOW $20'S. HERE IS THE LINK TO THE TRUCK IN QUESTION. THANKS

I think you should either get an '05 or hold off until the '06's come out. Certain minor tweaks are made over the '04's.

I would say 04, low 20s you can get an 04 4x4 LE, or an 05 xe loaded, base SE. I went thru the same thing when I bought mine 2 months ago, I wanted 4x4 LE, so I could either spend 32k for brand new, or spend 23k for one with <10k miles.

Buying a car is a fools game, buying new is just stupid. Yes its nice to have a new one, but its only new until you sign the papers. then you have a used one like everyone else.

I love my '04, but I agree with getsom ... save you pennies and hold out for an 06.. besides I didn't pay close to that for my 04 new (not SE or 4x4 ... but ...)

Do some research, shop around to as many dealers as you can, checkout http://www.carbuyingtips.com/ and http://www.fightingchance.com/, they rock in helping to get a great deal. I used fightingchance and wouldn't do it any other way again. Dealers give you offers.

Anyway that's my take.

Question Fighting chance

Doe the fax attack that fighting chance recommends really work as well as it says? I bought the packet and am going to buy a Titan in the fall.

I Went And Talked To The Salesman About This Truck And Hagled With Him And The Owner Over The Price. The Salesman Showed Me This Yellow Paper With The Price $24,??? And Told Me He Could Get Fired If The Boss Knew He Showed Me. Supposedly That's What They Paid The Other Dealer For The Truck.. Like I'm Stupid Enough To Beleive That Was The Wholesale Price. Anyway I Like The Truck It's Clean On The Inside And Has A Few Nicks And Scrathces On The Outside. They Said They Would Do $27,755 Out The Door. It Does Have The Original Set Of Rims With It. The Ones On It Look Stock But I Guess They Are A Chrome Upgrade? Can I Get Some Feedback From You Guys??? Thanks
