I havent installed on my titan yet, but the last three cars I had all got the DEI (clifford) remote start system. and you loose all extra functions from the factory fob.
If all you want is remote start, but don't want to loose your seat memory or roll down, then get the one with the smallest fob so you can put both on your keyring. Or buy a $500 setup that will roll up and down your window, honk the horn, page you when theres a problem, and light your cigarette for you after sex.
I am pretty sure that even with the $500 setup you will lose the seat memory if you have an LE.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.
I believe you press the unlock button three times in 3-5 seconds to start it.
Call the manufacturer to ask, but I'm guessing a good installer can do it.

That particular unit can be program to start your engine with either two or three quick push of the lock button on your fob. Any good stereo shop can do it for you, if you have basic knowlegde of automotive electronic you can do it yourself.
anyone know if we get one of the maxima remotes, that has the truck release button, if its possible to program that button when held down, or pressed three times to start the engine? I'd prefer that as i like the horn honking when locking the truck, but wouldnt want to piss off neighbors by having the horn honk while starting the engine. I could disable that, but i'd prefer not to.

Ours are CompuStar one-way systems. The installer did a parallel install, i.e. the OEM fobs still function just as they always did. If I wanted to use the window down feature I could carry the Nissan fob. The compustar fob isn't set up to actuate the windows.
We've both been very pleased with the compustar system.

What do you mean by ours are? our as in whats stock with the titan?
Clint: Does our oem keyless entry system have an auxilary output to accept the remote start? Thats my whole question, I know what the aftermarket remote start offers.
I installed a automate AM9 2 way system alarm start windows up and down and I love it. I have also installed many many code alarm ca430's on nissan products <altima maxima titan armada murano> it is an add on start to the factory keyless hit lock 2 times and it starts up nissan is the only car manufacturer i wold recomend this for since factory remotes ar goof for around 300 feet. I have installed them in ford gm and chrysler products but nissan remotes work the best.

vnt . . . please note the signature in post #10. There are 2 Titans listed. Mine and my son's. We both have CompuStars. That's what "ours" means.
Sorry for the confusing post.
