KC Rear Door Adj

I've searched and read multiple threads on rattles, etc, emitting from the rear door area. However, I haven't found any that address the issue that I believe I've narrowed it down to. One of my rear KC doors produces a sound over bumps that I've been able to duplicate while still. The noise I hear is the "Loop" mounted to the roof in the door opening, moving within the latch. If I could adjust the loop inward it would pull the door tighter against the weatherstripping, and hold the loop tight in the latch. My old GM had this adjustment and I had to make it, although it wasn't enough to completely get rid of the rattle. As far as I can tell, there is no adjustment on either the "loop" or the latch in the Titan. Any ideas.

Actually, this was the only problem I've had with my Titan, and I did adjust it myself. I had an issue with the driver's side top latch on mine, and surprisingly, it was not because it was too loose, but instead was adjusted too tight! What was happening was that the rear door was only catching on the first part of the latch, giving it a bit of a loose feel. Because the door was adjusted too tight, it never could fully latch on the second catch. I removed the trim by the latch which exposed a pair of large Torx head bolts for the hook. I loosened those, and adjusted the hook slightly outward, allowing the door to fully latch, and feel tight against the rubber seals.

If you can still 'view' (download) the shop manual from Nissan, I highly recommend it, as it has a good diagram of the assembly in the book.

I loosend the torx but didn't see any adjustment. My Silverado had slots on which the loop could be adjusted. I'll look at again and hope I just overlooked it. Besides that, mine is as tight as a drum, 17,000 miles.
