Normal???

Well today i was drivng back behind my neighborhood on some kind of isolated roads and theres about a 5 miles stretch so i decided to have a lil fun and take my truck all the way.
Ive done it a few times before but this time at about 110 it started to shake violently, the bed was also shaking i got scared and backed off.
I was just wondering if anybody had anyhting similar or has any idea what it could be. Ive had a few probs with my rear end in the past but i dont know if that had anyhting to do with it.

Not to be a smart-a$$, but how smooth was the road? I've taken mine up to 100+ and had no shaking issues.
Have you had new tires put on lately? Maybe balance?
Had the truck been sitting a while? Maybe low spots in the tire from sitting?
Windy?
Have you hit any pot-holes? Alignment?

Sounds like a tire/wheel issue.

What Sammy said.

I've never taken mine over about 95 mph after the front end collapsed.

Call me chickshat.

In 1997 I was a passanger in my friend's 1996 or 7 Honda Accord. He decided to try to bury the needle on an open strip of hwy. At 115 mph. the exact same thing happened. The car began to shake violently and buck. When he backed off the pedal, all went back to normal. He later was told it was some kind of governor hooked up to the motor or tranny that would electronically kick in if you decided to become Speed Racer. I do not know if that is the case with the Titan, but just some food for thought.

The governor shouldn't cause the vehicle to shake, just cut power from the engine.

Maybe that car's governor was a big vibrator hooked up to the rev limiter. When activated, shook like a fat woman sitting on a washing machine.

It's hard to say. How was the road? How old is the Truck? Going that fast it could be a number of things that could've added it to it. All I can say from experience, is that I have a Rodeo, and the shaking is due to a bad alignment, I figure, since nothing else was contributing to it. If it doesn't shake at low speeds, then could be something else. Take it in if it concerns you.

Wow!! I get to be the first to say it !! SHOULDNT BE DRIVING THAT FAST YOUR GOING TO KILL SOMEONE!!! But having said that My speedo was malfunctioning one day going down a three lane highway with NOONE around and it said 105 when I looked at it. I couldnt figure out why the pedel wouldnt go down anymore so I had to let off the throttle to figure out the block on my gas pedel. Never figured out why the speedo was messing up but I didnt feel any vibration. I think because I have a higher speed rating on the tires I have now. I believe your issue is tires. Have them rebalanced and try to see if your speedo is working to.

Could be the areodynamics of the truck. I doubt that Nissan does any wind tunnel testing over 100mph on their trucks. Do you have a tonneau? I ran my Lightning up to 120 and things got pretty shakey. Some have taken them up to the top speed of 140. Whew, not me.

My best guess is a tire out of balance, I have experianced shaking problems with various vehilcles and it usually ends up being a bad tire or a tire out of balance.
