OEM Shocks Replacement???

Has anyone here (4x4,OR) replaced their OEM shocks with any aftermarket shocks?

For rear shocks, talk to PRG about some Bilsteins. They rock!

For the front, talk to PRG about the Fox, DR and Bilstein coilovers he is working on.

While we are on shocks, for someone with Big Tow only, if we want a slightly firmer ride can we put the Ranchero shocks on from the Off Road package, and would that make the truck a bit firmer?

The factory Ranchos are inferior quality compared to the Bilsteins for towing and off-roading (and on-roading for that matter). PTgarcia tows a big trailer and has posted extremely positive reviews of the PRG Bilstein shocks compared to the factory Ranchos he used to have.

If you look carefully at the OEM "Rancho" shocks on the OR package, it says Nissan on it!!!

It's not really a Rancho shock at all. Nissan just licensed the name and slap the Rancho sticker on it. Heck, the boot's even too big for the shock!!! I was disappointed to find out that the shocks were not really Rancho shocks. Not to say that Nissan shocks are completely bad but I was hoping that there were the real thing.
