Who makes a 285/65/18 BESIDES BFG AT??

Anyone?? I had the BFG AT's before and they are good tires. But they are kinda pricey in this size.

Tire Rack has many tire options in 285/60/18 with prices starting at $100 per tire. This size is 1 inch shorter than our stock tires though.

285 x .60 x 2 ÷ 25.4 + 18 = 31.464"
265 x .70 x 2 ÷ 25.4 + 18 = 32.606"

That is a sizable difference in diameter at 1.142"...

Cooper, Toyo,Yokohama, Falken, Avon (?) Continental, Bridgestone...most everyone makes this size. I have a set of Cooper Discoverers, nice quiet and cheap. (I also have a set of Nitto Terra grapplers, nice, less quiet, less cheap, and you can't buy them locally, so I have the only set in town. Neener, neener)
Do a google search on "285 60 18 tires" see what you get.

No one. Tirerack doesn't have all the sizes of the tires they carry listed. EX. the Michelin Cross Terrains are available in 265-70-18 but aren't listed just as the BFG 285-65-18 aren't listed. I'd spend the extra cash for the BFG. Might be more, but tires are the biggest bang for the buck when talking about improving the ride quality of a vehicle. Cheaper tires will probably be lounder, harder ride, worse in rain, etc. Don't forget how lousy the stock ones were, or if you have stock, be ready to be impressed by how great the new ones feel.

Good luck finding this tire, once you find them, buy it.

I had an unfortunate time trying to find replacements and the day I came back to get my mich's another titan took them.

Sorry..... I meant who makes a 285/65/18 besides BFG.

I know there are quite a few options for the 285/60/18 size. But like we both said, they are about an inch shorter.

The 285/65/18 is the exact same height as the stock 265/70's.

I just bought the 265/70/18 Michelins CT SUV's. I love these tires.

True testaments my parents MDX has about 50 thousand miles on it, and original tires - no visible wear. They are in Michigan with snow, salt, terrible roads, act. They ride nice on the Titan!

I'm sure they are nice. I'm looking for a beefier tire though (285)

If you find a 285-65-18 besides BFG let me know. I wanted to get Revo A/Ts but they don't make the size. I settled for going to 20" so I could get wider 305s. Good luck.

I just got some 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers pit on day before yesterday. It rained a lot the last couple of days, and they are SOOOO much better than stock. I used to have to put it in 4wd just so I wouldn't slide all over the place taking off from stop lights...Not anymore. I can only get them to break loose, on dry pavement, going around a corner. It rides much better, and even took away most of the freeway hop I had. I am very happy.

Re: Who makes a 285/60/18 BESIDES BFG AT??

the toyo open countrys are nice. the ride is good but noise is loud. they are a 50,000 mile tire. i like them alot and they look good. 265/ 70/ 18 is always going to be priced sky high.

The Nitto Terra Grappler and Toyo Open Country AT also are made in the 285/65/18. The Nitto is the cheapest, then Toyo, then BFG.
