Best Insurance on the Titan

The power of the Internet unleashed to share the best Insurance prices!

I pay around $900 a year to Farmers for both my trucks. Dropped the dumb Gecko as they wanted to raise my rate to $900+ every 6 months.

What are you paying and with whom?

Farmer's may be cheap...

but watch out, they do everything they can to not payout when you have an accident, whether it's your fault or not... and they insist on using non-oem parts in any repair...

I could tell you horror stories about them that will curl your hair...

I've heard of Progressive doing that same thing - a friend had an accident with a Progressive policy owner who was determined to be at fault (trying to go straight from a turn only lane and hit my friend in the turn/straight lane). Progressive gave them the run around for quite sometime. I consider myself lucky to have USAA. Even though I pay around $1000 a year for full coverage insurance, I know they won't jack me around like the others will.

Allstate

I have Allstate, for more reasons than one, price, customer service, friendly rep etc..... I may pay a little more, but whenever I have a claim, they let me take it wherever I want and they don’t try to jack the place around from a price perspective when it comes to taking care of my vehicles. I would promote Allstate all day long. I had AAA once upon a time; they were as bad as when I had State Farm. Neither of them would cover damage unless MACCO did the repair job for $99.95.

You'd be on the short list of praisers for Allstate here in NY. One AT FAULT and it's Allstate Indemnity for you (their bad drivers division) and your price nearly doubles. Don't ever make a claim...same thing. I do have them for my homeowners and umbrella policies because you rarely have claims with those and their prices aren't too bad. Here in NY, all companies have to let you take your vehicle where YOU want for repairs. But Allstate tries to push you towards their Allstate list of repair shops. No thanks.
I use American Express and pay about $1600 a yr for the 05 Quest, my 04 Titan, and our travel trailer. No problems in almost 15 years. Unless Allstate has changed since I used them, I'd never go back.

In MA the price is Gov regulated so it's a matter who gives the best discounts ie good driveretc. I use Amica and deal directly with the company. I've been very happy with them and at the end of year I get a dividend depending on the amount of claim they pay out so it works out better than most for me and the customer service is great. On my suburban I had the self dimming heated power towing mirrors and needed a glass claim the replacement mirror glas with those options was over $300 from GM and the local glass people only gave you a heated mirror so they let me get it straight from the Chevy Dealer and reimbursed me 2 days later.

Progressive S*CKS!!

My wife hit a guy in her Accord three weeks ago. He ran a stop sign and cross into the middle of the intersection. They both pulled over to a parking lot and he even said, "I'm sorry it was my fault."
He was a nice older man. Then the cops showed up and gave the guy a ticket.
He had Progressive Insurance and guess what? They told us they were not going to pay for my wife’s repairs. I had to use my insurance to repair my wife’s car and pay the 500.00 dollars deduction. State Farm said they will get all the money back from Progressive, but it might take a while.
I was told this is happening offen with Progressive. Even the guys in the Honda shop where talking Sh*t about how sorry they were.

I had Progressive insurance when I had my motorcycle, sure glad I didn't need to file a clam with them. I will NEVER use them again.

Later

Forgot to list mine

I my 1300.00 per year for my wife's Accord and my Titan. I have State Farm for my auto and home. I have been with them for 15 years.
Are they the best? I could not say? I'm will bet each city and state have their own bad apples.

If you have been with the same insurance company more than three years, you are getting ripped off. you actually should shop for insurance every year. The insurance companys count on us being to lazy to look for a better deal, so they start jacking the rate after about 3 years. I was with AAA in Calif for 25 years and State Farm for 10 years in Texas before I figured out that I was paying way to much.

Yea but if you are violation free and stay with the same company for a while if you will get additional discounts..

Vector,

I have Allstate as well. it Sucks.. because when I bought my Evo, I still had 4 months left on my policy. What Allstate did was they added the 6 month policy for the Evo into my remainding 4-month policy. So instead of paying for 6 months, I paid 6 months worth within a 4 month range.. What the heck is up with that???

Has that happened to any of you guys?
