2006 Titans At Local Dealer Today

I spoke with the GM at our local dealer today and he had 06 titan's rolling off the truck as we spoke, I am headed over after work to view them, p/u a 06 brochure and get ready to place the order for the loaded out LE CC. He said that they are only able to order new Titans at the first of each month, and it takes him approx 6-8 weeks to get it in.

I got a flyer in the mail from my dealer yesterday advertising the low prices to move out 05 models so they could make room for 06 models. Hard to believe 06 model Titan's are already hittin the lots....seems like only yesterday I got my 04 LOL

There was only two out of about ten new trucks on the lot that had just came in that were 06 models, but in the XE trim I didn't see any changes, but it was pitch black.
Love the new blue on this truck, but have concerns about the front bumper and sides with the numerous rock chips that form there.
Hey all you dark color titan owners out there speak out about the new dark color, yea or nay?

That blue color is almost enough for me to trade in my '04 ... love that color! I'm surprised about the lack of colors available in the 04 and 05 Titan line. In addition to the new blue color, they need a good "forest green" color.

I said the same thing to the GM today when talking about the canceling of the canteen green color. I said that they should make a darker green much like the Chevy's have had in the past.

I like the blue. I'm sure it looks really nice cleaned up and in the sun.

I'm still sticking to my Oklahoma Univ. Red Braun - I couldn't have made the color better myself.

That's interesting that they are actually on the lot at that dealership. I have been to 2 dealers here in So Cal so far and neither of them will even admit that the '06s are available yet. They say Oct - Nov before they see them. I can't even get one to talk price, let alone ordering one. Frustrating - I'm ready to buy and no one wants to talk. They've already searched the available inventories and there isn't an '05 around with the options I want, so I have to go with an '06.

I'm sure right now they are only starting to trickle in. The closer you get to Canton you will probably find them only cause of the distribution. As well dealers that have good sales, etc will probably get them first. I haven't been down towards my dealer in a few weeks to see if they even have any, but wonder even if they do they might be keeping them in back until first of the month or so.

They're playing with you. They want to sell all their '05's first. Must have a ton of inventory.

My GM at the local dealership, said that on the first order they don't even get pricing on the trucks or options and are ordering blind so to speak to keep the pricing from the other manufactures from leaks and so forth. He said for that reason on the early orders, they only purchase the low end models with next to nothing in options till nissan releases prices to them for wholesale ordering.
Our lot in town now has 6-8 06 models in stock. I walked the lot with him earlier this week, and he siad his biggest problem was getting all of the PDI's performed on everything dropping at the lot now. There must have been 30 + 05 's and 6-8 06's waiting PD! let alone the fact he had 30 - 40 05's already cleaned and ready on the otherside of the dealership.
If your dealer is leary of the fact that they are out there, just look at all of my post on the 06 models and refer them to what they look like, since they are so negative to the fact that they are out there. As far as price goes, check back tonight or tomorrow for a thread that will list all of the prices for the Titans KC and CC for 06!

Thanks for the info.

I called another dealer tonight (why burn the gas if they're all going to give me the same story). I told them I wanted an '06 because there was not an '05 available with the options I want. He said he'd check and call me back. Called back 10 minutes later, said we found one! Duh, same 05's the other dealers had found. Wrong color and options. I told them a dealer in Alabama had '06s on the lot - they still won't acknowledge that the '06s even exist yet.

You must be right - they're messing with me. I guess if I want the new Granite Titan it going to be at least a couple of months coming - and that's only if I can find a dealer that will even talk about ordering one. Hopefully the other half doesn't opt out for a Ford in the mean time.
