I have a 06 crew cab 2wd and I noticed on the gas flap it says e85 fuel or regular fuel does this mean I can run the e85 or no cause it's a lot cheaper haha
it should mean you can, but it's not worth it. Idling and city driving it burns WAY faster. It's ok for interstate hauls, but needs to be at least 36 cents cheaper per gallon to make it worth it. Far less energy burning it, and at an idle, it burns almost as fast as cruising 75MPH
Well it's $1.57 for e85 and $2.09 for regular and I drive a lot of highway! So I guess I should but I'm just wondering if I can I just don't want to put it in there and it mess my truck up haha
If it says it on the fuel door then most likely you can. Most E-85 vehicles will have a Flex Fuel badge on the tailgate...or some where on the vehicle.
Mine is 06 and it doesn't have a badge or anything I just saw it on the door I think I need to call nissan or something just to make sure I just don't want to use it if it will mess my truck up haha
Inside the fuel filler door is the only place you will see it on your '06. It's highly unlikely that a previous owner would have put it there as a "modification", as there would be no benefit to them to do so. But yeah, call the dealer and give them your VIN. They'll confirm it for you.
