Help-Dealer Wrecked My Truck (Update)

I thought I would let everyone know that the DRAMA is over. The GM and I sat down and ironed out a deal on Friday. It was a deal that no one was ecstatic over, which probably constitutes a "Fair" deal, but both agreed it was good to be done. In all honesty, I would rather see both parties with the same emotions afterward, rather than one who was extremely happy.

It was refreshing when the GM stepped up and offered to negotiate, rather than hide behind his "legal right". As for my hardened stance, once my emotions calmed down, I knew it would be better to come to a resolution than to draw this out any longer. The only winner in a long legal battle is the attorneys.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions and support. It was good to know that so many fellow Titan owners are there to rally for the cause. Although the damage was done to the truck, not once did it damage my feelings about the Titan. With my new '06 coming in next month, I'm as giddy as I was when I ordered my '05. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!!

A judge I know, when discussing divorce cases (where emotions are always high), told me that when both sides were unhappy, he probably made a fair decision. By the way, I wouldn't discuss (at least on this forum) the settlement details because you'll get commentary that'll drive you crazy. It's over, put it behind you and be happy you got it resolved.

You paid a price but IMHO it will all be worth it because you get a new 06 with all the latest goodies.

Good for you!

As suggested, I'm going to keep the details to myself. One thing the dealer was able to do, was take an '06 that was already scheduled for production and outfit it exactly like I wanted. The ETA is sometime in Sept. Also, I'm having the chrome factory step rails added instead of the gray. I'll definately post the pics as soon as she arrives.

To answer a few questions: The Dealer was Power Nissan on I-10 and Auto Drive in Tempe, AZ. Yes, it is a LE and I already had the coin try.

The coin tray I had already ordered when I got the '05. In fact, I had to bring them in some pictures of the tray I got off the forum. They had never heard of it.

What did you get? LE? 4x4? Color?

2wd LE silver. I did not actually deal with any of their sales people though. Its kind of a third party guy, no BS or game playing just a good deal.
