Is the vk56de 4 or 6 Bolt main?

As the title states, I can't remember where I heard its 6 bolt main on the crank caps. Can ayone confirm this.

I'm pretty sure it's 6. I'll see if I can dig up proof.

Yes they are 6 (six) bolt Main Caps. There are 5 caps with six bolts 4 verical bolts and 2 horizontal bolts that bolt through the side of the block.

Thats all I needed to hear. I was looking at the manual and was paying attention to the vertical bolt. Didn't even bother to pay attention that there could be on the side bolts.

My window sticker states 6 bolt main bearing caps. I purchased 1/04. I don't know if this is being done on later models.
