6 disc CD player acting up

Hey do any of you have problems playing burned CDs in the factory 6 disc factory player(not the Rock. Fosq. one)?
I've been downloading a lot of music lately and burning it and sometimes the player won't play it. Some days It'll play them fine with no problem at all, other days it won't, its like it doesn't read the track and just keeps going to the next one.
And the CDs i burn play fine in my home stereo and in my wife's vehicle.
So the obvious conclusion is it might be the player in the Titan and not the actual CD, or the software i use(which is Windows Media Player or Nero).
So have any of you had this problem?

I've had good luck with burned CDs in mine. Make sure when you burn them that you close the session....although you say they play on your home stereo so you probably alreay do that. What you can do is experiment with different brand CD-Rs (your player won't like CD-RWs) and see if that makes a difference.

same here, my burned cds work in my 6-disk player.

different brands of cd-rs work better than others. i have no problem with Memorex, have been using them for years. they play in anything i have put them in that accept the cd-rs.

good luck, hope you find what the problem is.

Re: 6 disc CD player acting up

I have a similar problem. The disks play the first tracks fine but at the end of a full disk the tracks start to skip excessivly. I asked a Best Buy rep and he told me that many players can't handle the 80 minute discs becuase they get unstable at the edge of the disk where the last songs are written. He said it was mainly in the older cp players. He told me the only way was to leave some space left over on the disk. I don't think my 05 Nissan should have any problems playing a burned cd. I'm tempted to talk to my service department to see if a new one might work.

Re: 6 disc CD player acting up

Have had the problem in my Altima, my wife's Volvo, and even my home stereo. Not an uncommon problem.

Re: 6 disc CD player acting up

I have the EXACT same problem, so I feel for ya. The JVC CD/Mp3 player I have in my big rig never has a problem with my burned CDs in either format but my Titan acts real funky with my burned CDs. Sometimes it plays them, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it seems like it ain't gonna play anything and then 5 minutes later it will all of a sudden kick in and start playing music.

Re: 6 disc CD player acting up

I had the same problem. Complained to the dealer and he replaced the radio system. No problem since.
