Finally a good price on gas - only once

I stopped at the local Amoco which was advertising regular gas at $2.69 to fill up. Turns out they were out of the regular and mid-grades so they were selling Amoco Ultimate for $2.69 instead. Every other station (Thorntons, Citgo, Mobil) were at $3.05 - $3.15 for Premium. Took 18 gallons to fill it.

I never thought I would be happy paying $2.69 for gas, but what are we going to do? It will probably be over $3.00 for regular by the end of the week.

We're becoming numb to gas prices! That's not good.

A neighbor friend -- who works in the industry pricing inventories of finsihed product ' gas ' -- indicated that gas prices will be down after Labor Day. We should be down below $2.50 / gallon before toooo long. In the meantime, expect to pay $3.00 or more over the Labor Day weekend.

It was only about three weeks ago that 85 octane was avalable for $2.13 per gallon. Now that sounds cheap.

Just wait... prices will drop.

Around my area price seems to be steady in the last week, some even drop a few cents.

Prices will rise until labor day weekend ends and the summer month demands will start to decline dramatically. Just watch the prices fall 5 cents a week until another disaster starts.
