Top Speed

Does the Titan have a top speed limiter like fuel cut off or ignition interuption? Or is it limited only be wind resistance.

114 mph is the limit by the ECU.

Yep, the Head is right 114 limited by the ECU, although I have heard some members say that they have exceeded 120 mph. I suppose anything is possible.

Probably on the speedo, which is usually around 10% off at higher speeds.

I've done 105 on the speedo, add another 6 mph for my larger tires...still had plenty of throttle left, but was running out of truck.
The truck would be much happier lower, and better shocks, and bigger sway bars.

If you do a search you may find this guy that video taped it from inside his titan. It won't go more than 112, even though it wasn't completely at redline. from what I've read in magazines 112 is tops for titan and 117 was tops for ram hemi

Heres my video, Right Click and Save. I believe that this truck can go well over 140 with the limiter removed. At WOT, the truck hits the speed limiter at the end of 3rd gear, so we have 2 more gears left if the limiter was off.

If your going to push your truck that fast for any amount of time you better invest in a Hellwig rear sway bar.

I loaned my trusty Titan to my sweet and innocent 19 year old son to take his girlfriend out on a date. I noticed that they drove 185 miles and when I averaged the fuel milage on that tank, it only got 11.5 mpg. Something MUST be wrong with the truck because I know that sweet boy would NEVER flog his daddy's truck!....unless that little hussie forced him into something.

This video seems REALLY accurate as mine won't go past 112-114mph even though there is plenty left in the truck.

Talking top speed report

I just took the Titan out for a quick rip on 95 South just on the North side of Vegas. I would say about 114ish was the best I could do. Just my 2 cents.

The Dodge Hemi shuts off at 104 mph, as per a friend of mine that has one.
