Finally a problem

Yeah, I hate to say it but after almost 30K miles and a year and a half of trouble free driving, I finally have a problem with my truck.
And it took another Titantalk member [Pagerdaddy] to point it out to me.
Seems my factory sprayed in bed liner is blistering and bubbling up really bad.
I'm going to search the archives and see what the MOA of the dealerships is regarding the fixing or replacing of it, but if anyone has any suggestions or has had the same problem please let me know.
Still a great truck though, i'm just glad this problem showed up while I still had some warranty left.

I would hope for a respray on the current bed if I were you, because a new bed probably won't match the paint of your cab after 30k miles. Also I heard as preventative maintainance for the future people can put those bed mats on the liner so the sun doesn't bubble it.
Good luck!

Don't believed Nissan is swapping out beds anymore, they have repair kits now for that or even send you to a 3rd party for repaire. Goodluck

Depends on how bad the bubbling is. My bed was replaced and they did a great job. My 04 got an 05 bed so I also got the tailgate assist. They get the bed factory painted and the match was perfect. The bed came shrink wrapped. If there are too many bubbles, they can't grind it or inject it. It is going to be up to your dealer and Nissan. It takes about 3 weeks for the whole process from complaint to fix.

That's my 2 cents.

I had a bubble and the dealership looked at it. Since the bubble didn't actually break, they were hesitant to repair it at that time. I took it to their collision center and they said that yes they could fix it but that the spray wouldn't match the rest of the bed. We agreed to "keep an eye on it" for if it does chip off and break.

I sure can.
As an update, when I went out to take the pics the temp has gone up to 89 degrees and now the whole liner is soft. I am not going to be a happy camper unless the whole liner is replaced or I get a new bed.
Talk about bad timing.....deer season is just a couple of weeks away and I can't be without my truck. I hope they will give me a loner truck.

How about documented the problem with dealer first and tell them you'll be out of town 'till next month or two or three, then when you are done with the hunting season, bring it back in and let them do the work!.

Great idea!!! I'll keep that in mind if it looks like it's going to take a couple of weeks before they can get to it and a couple more weeks to repair.
Thanks everyone for the responses and the ideas, I do appreciate them.

My bed looked very similar to yours. Nissan replaced it with no questions asked. I had the same problem before the '05's were out so Nissan replaced it with a new '04 bed. I haven't had the problem reoccur.
