Cheap door sill protection

I used to have the plastic door sill protectors that go on with doublestick tape in my 4 door Dakota. I figured I would save the $30.00 or so that they cost and go another route. I went to the local Pep Boys and got a 2"x20' roll of the slip guard black tape (looks like the finish of a spray in bed liner) for $8.99 and cut 4 strips and put them on instead. It looks good and is lower profile than the plastic ones you can buy. I think it also would not interfere with the bottom of the door gasket as much either. It seems pretty sticky and should hold up great. Plus I have extra for other applications. Just thought I would share the info.

Interesting. www.*******industries.com has some metal sill protectors with the doublestick tape that say "TITAN" on them, but not cheap.

Do you know if the kit comes with 4 for the CC or just 2 for the driver and passenger side?

Nice idea and cheap to boot! I had odered some of the paint protection film for Griots Garage. It's good and clear so it not easily seen.

For the CC, I just got the two for the front from *******. I don't know if they have all four now or not.
