Hello guys, I have a 2005 Titan LE CC with about 7000 miles on it. I have started to get lots of squeaks coming from the back support areas on the seats. I am curious to if this is an isolated problem or one that the factory and dealers may be aware of. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
The only time my seats squeak is when me and the ole lady have a little bit of fun, if you know what I mean. Just Joking!
I don't have this problem wity my Titan but I've heard other people talk about this. You might want to try doing a search for this topic and see if that will generate any information for you.
Regardless if this is an isolated issue or not I would take it back to the dealer and make them fix it.
I've had this problem. They had to readjust the drivers seat. That fixed it. The passenger seat kept squeaking after 3 visits to the dealer. They eventually replaced the whole seat.
The new seat has a support bar across the back, at the bottom of the frame, that the first seat didn't have.
I think it's a fairly common thing and it looks like they may have changed the design of the seat frames to fix the problem.
I have 38000 miles and I the sound was with me for a while. I know only have it by the joints of the seat belt and it just needed WD40

My passenger seat back used to squeek constantly in my 2004 LE, but a quick spray of WD-40 fixed it (hasn't sqweeked since july)
I have had a few seat squeak problems.....even had one of my seats replaced entirely. STILL there were squeaks. Finally took it upon myself to fix them. The hardest part is isolating the location of the squeak. What I did was to have my wife drive the truck around while I snooped around and found where I thought the noise(s) were coming from. Once I found it....DOUSE IT with WD40....problem solved (in my case anyway)

Dealer replaced my driver's seat frame and the problem stopped for a month, then came back. They wanted to replace the passenger's seat frame, as it was doing it too, but I did a search on here for "seat squeak" and compiled a list of the fixes everyone tried that worked. I put them in a word document and handed them to the tech. I'm not sure which one he did, but I haven't had the problem since, and I know he didn't use the WD-40.
Good luck!

Go Vols- could you please send that list to my email at strikingcobra78@yahoo.com , either that or post it for us. Thanks in advance!
Okay I tried the WD-40 trick and the squeak was back within a day. I went to the hardware store and bought some white lithium grease spray and shot it all over the seat joints and whatnot. Worked! It's been 2 days now and no squeaks, lets see how long it'll take before the crickets come home.

Some type of lubricating oil will work better, try a oil used to lube firearms(easily found in sporting goods at wally). This will only lube and not clean which is what u want.

Yeah, my 2005 LE KC started squeaking at 900 miles and I just turned a 1100 today. The area of squeak is the lower right pivot of the backrest. I notice it when shifting my back left and right. This will be part of my "punch list" when I bring it in for its service interval.
On a side note, has anyone else had a problem with the carpet cut a bit short in the drivers side by the kick panel as the carpet doesn't tuck underneath leaving a gap?
i took my seat out and cut rubber piece's from an old floormat to fit between the seat posts and the floor. i drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the rubber for the seat bolts. that squeak was very anoying i must say. it has been about a month now no more squeak!!
