I have a G35. Same motor and suspension as the 350Z. Its a nice ride but I'd rather drive the Mada. 350Z has less room and really only has looks over the G35 coupe. Neither has what I would call BALLS. Not enough power. If I didn't have the vette, I'd swap it for a new Stang, vette, or GTO, not the 350Z. The high HP numbers are deceptive because the TQ curve isn't too strong. As a result, its only as fast as a 1987 Mustang GT. Maybe if you add a Supercharger, which it should have had since it was created. Depends on your taste but the coupe has more usable back seat room. If I had to get rid of one, I'd say goodbye to the G. Also, a C5 vette might be a good option. Don't forget they get better mileage than the 350Z on the highway.

I had a 350z...do yourself a favor and skip it. You will be dissapointed in the power. Great looking car, but not very fast. Like another stated, the hp numbers are a bit deceptive due to there being no torque for the engine down low. Even revved out, doesn't feel that fast. Nice to look at, but that's about it.

Oh, forgot to mention, I had a 350Z and the titan is much more fun to drive. To each his own but do a search and you'll find several of us that sold the Z and are much happier with the Titan.

i had a Z. hints my name on here....it was a fun car to drive for a bit but overall i was dissapointed a bit.....The gas isnt that much different maybe 20-30 dollar difference....You have to put premium gas in it....I love my titan compared to the Z.....There was many things i didnt really like... No storage space..A 2 seater....lacked great handling for a sports car in its same class.....i just think it is a decent weekend car but i love my titan......2 each his own

he loves his car, even though its wrecked and probably beyond repair to keep it but he still loves it. dont know why, its small and has some get up and go but definetly not as fun as my Titan.

he thinks yall are crazy to talk about the Z like that...haha

I had an 04 Z before the titan and I thought the car was the sh!T. The car is really quick and handles like no other. What you may not realize it that the Z has a high compression engine and requires 91 octane fuel. You will end up paying more than you think, cause it's hard not to red line the engine every once in a while. BTW I sold it cause I an having my first son in a few weeks, two seaters suck if there's more than two in your family. Good luck!

What were your list of mods? Did you put a turbo or supercharger on it?

Guess you haven't driven a vette yet. My '92 will handle circles around it (it isn't stock) and is much faster. Its the same motor that is in mine or an Altima, Maxima, etc. They have a hairier cam in the track model but compression is the same and it runs on 87 like all the others. Even the 300z Twin turbo was faster by half a second to 60mph. You need forced induction to even get in the game.

However, like the Titan, it has an electonic timing changer hooked up to a knock sensor that allows the timing to be advanced, yielding a couple extra ponies from higher octane gas so the higher octane isn't going to waste like in most cars.

All new cars have this "knock sensor"...nothing special, and high octane gas is a waste. You will get no more noticeable power from 93 vs. 87.
