Just Another Stupid Question

I have not found anyone else ask this question through a search...so here it goes.

Is there anyone out there that has noticed that when you turn off your Titan, sit there for almost exactly one minute and my tach, volt, and speedo needles will move. The speedo will pull down way below the 0 and pop back up past the 0 to around the 5 to 10 mph range and then back down to 0. The other two needles move but only slightly. Also, during the speedo "adjustment", I hear a sound, like something is closing under the dash.

My Titan does this everytime I turn it off. The only reason I notice this is because I pick my kids up from school everyday and I have the time to sit and wait. I have timed it and it happens right around 60 seconds.

If anyone else has expierenced the speedo "adjustment" and sound, please let me know. If not, I am off to the dealer. It doesn't seem to affect anything except my curiousity.

Yes both of those happen with my truck. I asked the service dept. about when getting my oil changed and he said that it was normal.

I haven't noticed theneedles moving but I have heard the noise like an actuator door is closing or something. No idea exactly what it is but apparently it's normal.

Thank you people, I joined this Titan Community when I bought my truck in March and am new to this forum stuff. I love to read all the posts but unfortunately I am not a computer whiz.

No need to be computer savvy. Just ask questions and answer the ones you can. Throw in a little "smart-***" comment here and there, and you'll fit right in.

PS. I didn't mean anything by posting the link to the old thread, just thought you'd like to read it from the horses mouth.

I've noticed it in my truck as well. Seems like I heard somewhere that it was just the computer doing a diagnostic check.

Your link helped a blind man see.

Just a thought. I wonder if the sound is actually the security immobilzer kicking in?
