Wreck after new TSB brake job - Please read

I just had the TSB brake job done and the front-right brake is grabbing upon applying brake.
I also just had a wreck, on a slippery road, due to this but not sure how to go about proving it. Also, my brake pedal hit the floor before I ever made contact with a ditch. Please let me know if any of you are having braking probs after the TSB work.

I haven't had the judder yet so no new brakes, but it sounds like they didn't get the fluid back in the system properly - a bad service job.

Hope you and anybody riding with you are alright. It may be difficult to prove, especially if wreck happened during bad road conditoins. If the truck is still drives, see if the issue can be re-created with a service technition riding along with you. Possible, the break lines were not bleeded properly.

Thought I read about someone else saying the brake pedal went limp when the anti-lock activated. He was in a low traction situation offroad, pedal went limp and I believe he also ended up doing some damage to his truck.

My old Chevy Blazer did the same thing when the ABS activated. My buddy was towing me out of a muddy field and the pedal went to the floor as I was trying to stop, ran right into the back of him.

If someone takes their truck in the mud or snow and applys heavy brake, it would be easy enough to duplicate if a common problem exists. Any takers?

I've had my pedal go all the way to the floor once when I let off the brake, pressed the gas, and quickly put the brake back on after seeing a car coming.

The pedal went limp, and I thought I was going to hit the car. I took it to the stealer, and they weren't of much help, and said my brakes were operating fine.

I changed out the lines to stainless steel to try to minimize pedal travel, and it help some, but still dont feel confident.

Now, both brakes are grabbing and sticking against the rotors, heating them up, and probably wearing down my pads. I'm taking it in this week.

Good brakes, bad tech. I'd have the dealership pay for your damages. Maybe suit? You don't need your brakes failing on you due to poor installation. And brake jobs are easy. A monkey can do them. This is on purpose so you can't mess them up.

you guys with the brake problems are definitely victim of bad techs as 3x said! i've had my brakes worked on 4 times, the 4th time was for the permanent fix, and haven't had any failure or soft pedal feel. no need to change out brake lines either, the brakes now stop on a dime! and as far as the accident i'd tell the insurance co that you had brake failure, let them investigate it so they can get the dealership to take the hit for faulty work!!

No problems with mine after the fix (pads and turn rotors). I had to do an emergency brake and swerve Friday and they were fine.

No problems with mine since the judder fix. I've hauled loads of mulch in the bed down giant hills and still feel great. I'd take that tech that did your brake job and rub his nose it. It works on my dog!

I have not had the low pressure issue but we have had the truck surge with the pedal applied but dealer cannot replicate so I'm SOL on it. THE FIX is now starting to get the jidders so we'll see how long it takes untill we are back in again and they scratch their heads and say "but this WAS THE FIX"

Sorry to hear about what happened...

The second time they "fixed" my brake issue, I almost rear-ended someone. I pulled out on a busy road from the dealership and when I came to a stop light she was juddering like no other, brake pedal didnt quite go to the floor, but close...

I turned around, went back and the "fixed" it again...

I've since had the permanent fix done, but so help me if these new ones judder that biotch is going to be bought back...
