From what I am hearing, if you in fact have the brake "judder," your steering wheel will shake violently when you apply the brakes.

My 05, CC began to have a weird feel to the brakes right about 6000 miles. It would pulsate when slowing down, particularly after the brakes had heated up. I wouldn't say it was a violent shaking, but definitely didn't feel right.
I took it to my dealer and described the problem. He said it sounded like the beginning of judder and put the new brake kit on.
Now, they feel WAY better. Hauls the truck down nice and smooth, almost effortlessly.
You might take it in to your dealer and have them take a look.
Regards,
John

I brought mines in last week for the first time. I only have 2000 miles on it, but I decided that I dont even want to experience the issue. So I told the service manager that I had a little shake while braking. He told me to bring it in, and that they have a fix for it. I then asked what they would be doing, and he said they have new brake parts for this issue and they would be changing out pads, calipers, and rotors, etc...
After it was completed, I asked if they felt the shake, and he says the mechanic didn't even drive the car. He also says they've been knocking these out the past month on both Titans and Armadas, so there was no need to waste time turning rotors. Dude was pretty cool, out at Mossy Nissan in San Diego.
my 05 CC is beginning to do it as well but i bought it about 100 miles from my hometown. Will any Nissan dealership do it or should i just call the dealer i bought it from.
All Nissan dealers know about it, some **** you around more than others. This is a good test to see the kinda treatment you can expect from a dealer in the future. My dealer put me on the list right away for new rotors none of this we gotta do a half *** fix a dozen times crap.
Check out the one closest to you and see what they say.
Got a letter in the mail yesterday (9/12/05) which details extending the warranty to 36 months/unlimited mileage on '04/'05 Titans/Armadas for "brake judder" conditions only. This is good news.

Do you take your truck to the local dealer for any service? I ask because I did the same, but I take my truck to the local dealer for service and have talked to the service manager. He told me any time warranty problems come up to bring it there. I *think* the dealerships get paid by Nissan for the warranty fixes regardless if they sold the truck or not....
