i got my letter yesterday. truck is covered for 36 months/unlimited mileage. it also contained a small sticker that should be applied to the cover of your owner's manual as a reminder of this extension.

wazzucoug, i think they will test drive your truck first to verify the symptoms. i would just go in and ask.

Brakes

I received my letter today on the extended warranty for the brakes. I bought my Titan in August 2004 and so far haven't had any brake problems but its good to know Nissan will fix the brakes if they go bad for another two years.

I got my letter this week also. I have a '04 with Sept '04 build date, purchased Oct '04.
First brake judder fix at approx 6k. Will wait for it to return again. Dealer wants the truck for the whole day so will also address the latest problem with the body control module sub-harness (for those who have the tow package and fall within the specified VIN#.) Hopefully they can do both in the same day.

Re: Anyone get the Nissan Brake Judder letter?

I got my letter a while ago. I took the truck in to get the upgrade done, which will be the second time I've had the brakes replaced and was told I was not covered under the waranty due to the fact I had wear to the pads.
Anyone else heard of this.

You have the judder or just worn down pads? If the pads just wear down from normal wear and tear I don't know if they'll fix it for free.

If you are having brake judder again they should cove it but if its just worn pads your SOL.

Re: Anyone get the Nissan Brake Judder letter?

OH no trust me it's the same brake jutter I had before. When braking the front end and steering wheel shakes like crazy. I started to notice it about a week ago.
They didn't give me the fix with the new roters when I went in for the first time. I think hey turned the old ones and put on new pads.

The dealer agreed it is the brake jutter problem and has acknowledged I never got the new fix parts installed. They just said due to the fact the pads are worn there is no longer a warranty.
It just doesn't make sense.

I would get a copy of the brake warranty letter and the TSB and take it up with the service manager again. If that doesn't work ask to talk to the owner of the dealership. If that doesn't work then call Nissan. This is covered under the warranty. You may save yourself alot of stress by going to another dealer and telling them you think your rotors are warped. If what you say is true they will likely fix it no questions asked.
