Letter From Nissan Canada about option Sold but not in truck!
Good Day everyone,
So I go home and decide to check the mail for the first time in a few weeks, (Bills come electronically), and I see another letter from Nissan Canada, thought it would be a survey cause it was recently in for a checkup, they seem to be keen on thier survey's...
Well the letter states that an option that I ordered with my 2005 Titan LE CrewCab Off Road 4x4 with Big tow, Sun Roof/DVD Player, and DVD Navigation and Airbage Package in the manual was listed the VDC option, (I think that was the 3 letter acronym in the letter) but that option is unavailable due to the 4X4 and the options that I picked. I think one of the options mentioned was the locking Diff.
Well, Nissan Canada offers a $700 cash rebate for the "Full Retail Value" of the option as a "Gesture of GoodWill" if I sign off on the letter acknowledging that I will not pursue the matter any more in any way...
Who else has recieved this letter? What are your thoughts? I have mine but will refrain from adding until later.....
It depends how bad you want VDC. If you really don't care, then take the money. If you want it, then begin the negotiations on a fair price to upgrade to an 06. Being in the Yukon, you would probably benefit from VDC ( as I would in Edmonton's long winters)
I have a 2005 Titan Model line up description that was faxed to me from my salesman. It says my 2005 CC LE should have puddle lamps in the mirrors. From what I've read around here, the puddle lamps have never been available with the Big Tow mirrors. Of course, there's small print saying something to the effect of 'we reserve the right to change options without notice'. I never brought it up, since I don't care about puddle lamps.
Rob have you ever driven a vehicle with traction control?
I hate my VDC, it seems to kick in at all the wrong times. I know some people wouldn't drive without it but if you ask me it is a pain in the butt, take the money and buy an exhaust.
