Question Tail light covers in CA?

Are the blackout tail light covers legal in CA? I know I should prolly know this answer, but hoping for a "yes" Longshot?

The answer is no, but it is only illegal if you get caught

I got pulled over for a ticket once on the Titan. The cop told me it was illegal but he didn't give me a fixer ticket. He told me that he let it go but gave me a ticket for not "stop long enough at stop sign". To make a long story short, he told me that he saw me stopped at stop sign but I didn't wait long enough (5 sec). BTW, I did a full stop.

Ca requires the stop to last at least 6 seconds? Is that in the vehicle code?

I'm pretty sure it's 3 seconds. No rolling stops...

I don't remember the brand. I had it for so long. I removed/erased the name on the cover. I think they are all the same.

As far as the ticket, I didn't do rolling stops. I did a total stop but the cop told me that I didn't wait long enough.

There is no time limit on stops at stop signs. Just stop movement and proceed when safe to do so.
