Brakes out after TSB Brake Job

After the TSB brake job I noticed the pedal going further to the floor than before and the other day the damn pedal went clear to the floor. I let off, and they'll pump up, but with force will go back to floorboard. Has anyone had or heard of this happening??? The master cylinder reservoir is full.

Sounds like it's possible that they (the dealer) left some air in your lines after bleeding them. I would purge asap.

I read a thread where someone had the fix and had an accident afterward, he could stop at least that's what he say. I would get that look at ASAP.

BAT1 is right. If you do not have any leaks anywhere and your reservoir is full, then you have air in the system, take it back to the dealer ASAP. Your safety is at stake!

I use speedbleeders and bleed the brakes myself, and yes, air in the lines can allow the pedal to go to the floor. Air is compressible, brake fluid is not.

Gee Steve I'd get that fixed. You documented it on Sunday in this thread. Wreck after new TSB brake job - Please read and again today. What did your dealer say about it during the week?

I got the new brakes about 3 weeks ago, 31,500 miles, Wednesday of this week I drove 26 miles to work, parked and went in, about an hour later I was going to another school, 33,000 miles on the odometer, I started the truck and the brake pedal went to the floor, I pumped the brake, and the pedal went to the floor agin. I shut the engine off, restarted the engine, and had good brakes, as a matter of fact, they felt better than they ever have on my Titan, been good ever since.

Sorry for the dupe, I'm brain dead.
I am reluctant to tell the service writer the true story for fear they'll say the accident caused the brake failure, plus I just found out the wheel I warped, which is unrepairable, has been discontinued and therefore the truck is undriveable. I'm still kicking around my best options to not get screwed.

Call the Nissan svc and tell em, also report the same to the fed that way you will have all angles covered. Your insurance will also be happy to note what you have to say.

The way these trucks fall apart I am sure sooner or later they are going to jack up the risk profile for Titan and therefore the insurance rate.

Nissan ought to get their head outa the sand and issue some serious recalls for all the crappy issues they have in their 04 and 04 titan units.

Nissan if you are reading this get the lead out and do something constructive.
