04 vs. 05 Stock Tailpipe

Was there a location change between the 04 and 05 stock tailpipe? The 05 I have seen terminate under the truck. On my 04 brochure, its exits just under the middle of the rear quarter panel.

They're both the same mandrel bent pipes. The tip is bent facing rearward just behind the passengers rear mudflap, same on 04 and 05s.

Thanks!

The 04 brochure must be a pre-production photo. I wonder why they changed to the hidden, under-box termination...

I was just looking at my 04 brochure. I only see one picture in it where you can SORT OF see the tailpipe, and it looks exactly like mine and the 05s. Just what is it you're looking at?

My bad...

04 brochure: Red Brawn SE KC on left facing Galaxy LE CC on right. Red Brawn KC tailpipe. Looking closer at the photo, I see that you’re absolutely correct.

I was hoping the 04 tailpipe made a straight exit at the mid-panel location. Much to my chagrin, the shop that added my tip really hacked up my 05 tailpipe to get it (close) to the mid-panel exit. I will live with it as it mostly hidden, but I would start over with a 04 tailpipe if it terminated as I hoped.
