My wife is 5' nothing and drove the Titan before I bought it. She has driven it a few times since then on long trips and had no problem. With the adjustable pedals and seat, she had no problem driving, parking or backing into parking spaces.

As for the engine sound, I have never had anyone complain about the decible level in or out of the cab.

Take it out for a road test, drive it around and see for yourself that it is the nicest ride in a truck you can buy.

It’s a truck and some people want everything to drive like a luxury vehicle. My wife is about 5’3” and she loves this truck. I was seriously considering the Ram Hemi, which she hates, and I am now the proud owner of a second cat because she thought I would buy the Hemi anyway. Moral of the story, buy the Titan or put up with another cat. This truck is definitely not for everyone like people who aren’t old enough to drive or blind people for example should not drive this truck. Other than the aforementioned, I think everyone should drive a Titan.

the back up sensors help alot but I think the big tow mirror are a bigger help when parking and driving it , as mentioned above if you already are used to a full size truck the change won't be that much except you will happier and you will look that much better driving a titan :P

The engine's too loud, or the exhaust is too loud? There's a difference. And one you can't do anything about, but the other you can.

There's defintely a rumble from the exhasut, but just tune into your fav radio station, or throw in your fav. CD on your RF 6 disc in-dash changer, turn the volume up ever-so-slightly, and puff-exhaust noise gone!

If they're talking about the engine-it's loud, if you get into it. If you drive it fairly 'normal'-whatever that may be, it's pretty quiet.

But, the best way to found out is to test drive it again, and see what you notice.
Remember when you're out for your test drive to drive it like you stole it!!!

Just buy it, the model that has the options you desire. You'll be happy. Dodge, Ford and Chevrolet have been building trucks for decades and the Titan is ahead of them in design and operability.

hey beej, I have to say I came from a 1995 Ford Powerstroke TD and in no ways the TITAN loud or remotely such LOL I looked on autotrader.com and read the reviews and found out what to expect and still bought my 2005 Titan CC LE Galaxy Black rear sonar is awesome and will help back in or out of any space with confidence just have to get used to how the beeps and distance from object match

No matter what you here buy the TITAN and don't look back

Hi B,

Welcome to the site! I'm a 5'4 female, and haven't hit anything yet...YET.

I have always driven small coupes, i.e. Mustangs, but haven't had much trouble getting accustomed to the Titan's dimensions.

The engine sound is WHY I bought this truck!!! It's a wonderful understated rumble that reminds you of what lurks under the hood.

I find the Titan is a very easy vehicle to drive and get around in. It certainly does not feel it's size. If you use your mirrors properly and give yourself a little extra room you won't have a problem. Also, the engine noise is no worse than any other full size truck. I happen to like the sound and both our Titans have Banks exhausts!

I'm 5'4 and drove an Eclipse before my husband bought the Titan. The only thing I had to get used to was parking. Now I have no problem at all, I can park better than my husband.

Now when I get into my Altima it feels totally different. Lower to the ground and all of the controls are in different spots. Other than that, we love the Titan.

You'll probably want atleast the SE model with the electronic side view mirrors. Mainly so you won't have to reach outside to adjust the mirrors.

My wife told me this weekend that she wanted to drive it because she misses driving it. Who am I to argue

The Echomaster or whatever backup sensor you get helps a lot love it and it is a must now for me on almost any long/big vehicle.

The exaust is gruff but the engine isn't loud in my opinion unless you have a lead foot.

Welcome to the Forum,

All the advice about test driving really is something to consider. Including getting comfortable backing it up.

I added auxillary back up lights on mine (don't have sonar) and that also worked quite well when using the Big Tow mirrors.

As an aside, I have a Banks Exhaust and love the sound. If you keep it stock, you'll be just fine as it is real quiet.

My ex wife could see better in the Titan than she could in my 1978 Trans Am! (She was also 5'1.)
