Loaner car?

Do you expect a loaner car when you take your car to the shop? My salesman got fired, and he was the one that hooked me up with a loaner.
Going to get my brakes done tomorrow and they are telling me they dont have any loaner cars available. Was asked if I had the extended warrenty because it will pay for a rental. I dont. I have a honda and they give me a car while they change the oil.

if you ask them nicely and they don't give you a vehicle to get on with your life because nissan implemented an inferior brake system, then demand one. when i got my truck worked on, they had Enterprise come by and give me a CRAPPY rental.... but hey... it got me around. i would have rather preferred them give me a courtesy 350z roadster but life can't be perfect.

Rentals

I think a lot of it depends on the dealer, but Nissan doesn't usually give the rentals. If you get pissy with them they usually will, especially for a warranty issue. Nissan needs to realize these are the little things that keep people from staying loyal to a brand. I take those things into consideration when shopping for a car, and I think a lot of people do too.

I did take the nice route this morning. They gave me a new Titan to drive. The guy behind me was offered a ride home though. He was there to get his rotors turned, heard me asking for the upgrade, then was getting pissy with them for only turning his. I dont blame him for that, but that may be why he is only getting a ride home, not a loaner.

My dealer seems to be willing to give a rental for warrenty work because of something in the extended service plan I bought. For normal maintenace I ride the shuttle to work.
