Titan in New Orleans

I just got back from 8 days in New Orleans doing police duties. I remember reading that Nissan donated 40 Titans and 10 Armardas to the relief effort.

I could not get a picture of it, but I saw an EC Titan with the words "Emergency Relief" stenciled across the front of the hood go by. Then about a half hour later, I saw another one.

One of the National Guard troops told me he saw the same thing on an Armada in another parish the same day.

So I guess its true. Good work Nissan! They needed those vehicles down there!

Yeah, Nissan Stepped up. I am glad that they did it. It will also be great for there PR.

Thanks for the help.My neighbor -I live in River Ridge which is 4 miles west of NO-tells me we have NYC police patroling the neighborhood.We appreciate it.It would be a real drag to get home and find your stuff gone-or worse smashed.A friend of my wife owns a store.It was looted ,but worse the stuff that wasn't taken was smashed-just intentionally smashed!I just don't understand that.

Sorry to hear that. It is anarchy there to say the least. My job was to protect 200 civilians that were setting up medical and food clinics in Jefferson Parish. I also did armed protection for a general that was visiting troops on these sites. I had my full auto carbine up and off-safe more than once during that time.

I just tried to help my fellow Americans and will be going back soon.

The big problem we had (beside the obvious) was random shots fired in the area where we were staying. 18 to 22 hour days and still not enough time.

When I come back, I will have additional officers with me.
