Question for those with Chrome Tailgate accent

I just got my chrome tailgate accents from Kenneth of ebay. I test fit it to see how it looked, and it does not appear to be big enough. I see the lip around the perimeter of the tailgate piece and when put up against my tailgate it does not cover the edges on the sides, bottom , or top. I think it is molded to small. It needs to be wider on all sides. Is this normal? It looks like it is designed to cover the black plastic completely and only see the chrome piece and paint. Did all of you with the chrome peices have this problem? Is it meant to show black on the sides? Please help. Thanks.

I bought mine from ******* and the piece had excellent fit. The lip went just around the stock black trim very well. I did not have any fitting issues. I can take a pic, if you wish.

I am not sure. It looks like it is meant to fit the Titan, but is just a tad to small. I can see the black plastic sticking out on all sides by about a 1/16 of an inch, and that is not even allowing for the lip on the chrome piece to wrap around the edges of the black tailgate area. I emailed the seller and am waiting for a reply. I hope he can make good on this. It is clearly not the proper fit.
