I second that...these types of posts are lame...who the hell cares what other people are saying. The proof of the Titan should only matter to us on here that have the truck and want to discuss it.

IBTL...

I wish my Titan was built in Japan, then it wouldnt be a lemon...

Cousin has an SS, either he doesnt know how to drive it, its not broken in yet, or its just slow...

I think the MSRP on his truck was $38,000 too. I bet it will be worth $15,000 in 2 years, the next generation GM trucks roll out late 2007? Somewhere in there...

P.S. kartman's mentality is what keeps bad automakers making bad products...

The fact is that the Titan is rice and yes the Chevy SS is faster and in my opinion a good looking truck. I love my Titan and did buy it partly because I like fast trucks and would in fact own a fast car if i didn't need to haul anything. In fact, if I could have gotten an SS for under 19 grand out the door I would probably be driving one right now. I have never been to another brands forum and don't know why you would unless you are envious, looking for trouble or considering purchasing one.

Actually the only people I ever hear mouthing off other brands are the people who are obsessed with speed and power. I personally could care less who has the fastest truck. If you wanted to go fast why the hell did you get a truck to begin with. If speed is what you want get a motorcycle or go skydiving. If power is what you want get a pilots license.
You'll get people who prefer the Silverado over the Titan...sure! You'll also find people happy to live in a double-wide. It's all in the caliber of people you're talking about.

I talked to a guy last week who paid 42K for his Chevy truck... I didn't really look that close but that is a load of cash for a truck with a Chevy emblem... it's a load of $$ for any vehicle really... I am glad there are such die-hard people out there that love the big 3... if everyone wanted a Titan... the factory couldn't keep up and the laws of supply and demand would kick in and these awsome trucks would cost $80K....

That had to be something higher up the food chain than their 1/2 ton trucks. Probably a 3/4 ton Diesel or higher.

Actually First quarter is about 4 of their new trucks come out. Then the Second Quarter is the rest.

I don't think that it will be bad as you think with the resale value. Having a 44% residual value for three years.

Well our foreign auto makers are more American then American Auto makers. Honda building almost every lineup of vehicles here in USA and Toyota and Nissan being thrown in there too.

What part of the US market F-150 is made in Mexico? The engine(4.6/5.4) comes out of Canada,or Michigan. The F-150 trucks that go to US buyers are built in the States(mainly Dearborn) and all of the metal stamping is done at Dearborn, now Im sure some parts of the F-150 come from Mexico, but that can be said for about any vehicle.

Some Silverado's are made in Mexico,BUT most of them are sold in Mexico, or they are exported outside of North America. The large majority of US supplied Silverado's are built here.

The trucks are assembled in certain plants, but the companies that supply all the automakers come from all over the world.

Personally, I wouldn't own a domestic truck, but I do know where they're built because I work for a company that supplies them,Toyota, and Nissan.

For all you guys with the Titan brake rotor problems, KIRIU Machine is who's making them. Nissan has those guys/gals humping 24/7 to keep up with demand.

I really do not think of my truck as Japanese being it is built in Mississippi by Americans, sure it is made by Nissan which is based in Japan but Nissan North America builds vehicles for Americans in America. Some folks don't realize we are in a global economy now, Chevy's are assembled in Mexico and the big three also does a lot of business oversees with some models that you can't even get in the states.
