In fact, if I could have gotten an SS for under 19 grand out the door I would probably be driving one right now. I have never been to another brands forum and don't know why you would unless you are envious, looking for trouble or considering purchasing one.
I've been reading the SS forum for a long time, and have even posted there a couple times. I get the snippy attitude from some guys, but I don't post there to be starting trouble or because I'm envious, I'm there simply because I like cars and trucks. I also lurk on a Dodge forum and post to the Car & Driver forums.

If you can't see the good in anything other than what you own, that indicates a closed mind. I'm always willing to admit my trucks faults, but I'm also not so blind that I didn't consider it because I'm still holding a grudge over WWII, which seems to be a recurring theme in the domestic forums.

right you are TOK, I stand corrected, I also hate a closed mind based on some old grudge etc. USA beat the crap outta Japan and that should of been the end of it. That would be way to easy I suppose and then 1 less thing to find wrong with a Titan.

what do you expect? you are on a silverado forum. of course they like their truck more. you expect them to sit there and say how much better the titan is compared to their truck?

we do the same thing. how many posts are there about people smoking a ford chevy or dodge in the titan?

thats how it works.

Irony

Yeah...

Most of the die-hard truck owners who knock the Japanese auto-makers, and will only drive "Amercian made vehicles" probably do most of their shopping at Wal-Mart. And Wal-Mart gets almost all of its electronics, clothing and other items from Asia...go figure!!!

Yeah, funny thing is our truck has much (most?) of it's $$$ going to americans (design & production)

I may get flamed for this... but I sometimes wish my truck was made in Japan. I truly believe we'd have a lower defect rate if this were the case but the tarriffs are so high on full size trucks that it is simply impractical to do this.

My $.02

Yes I miss japanese quality. My last 3 vehicles were japanese and I never heard a rattle and never felt a bump in the road.

I have an Accord that was made here in Ohio and it is of the highest quality of any car that I have owned. So I don't know where you are getting "I wish that they were still made in Japan." They are still better than any other Auto Manufacturer in the United States.

I drive a Silverado and I'm on the Titan forum because a good friend of mine owns a Titan and post here. I generally don't waste my time reading post like this because it's generally the same old thing. I try to use model specific forums to learn about other Trucks to see what they have to offer without having to listen to some salesman give you a line of bull****. There will always be competition between full size trucks and there will always be someone that is unwilling to hear anything or learn anything besided that his model truck is the best. I generally stay on www.performancetrucks.net because it is not model specific. I've also seen people attempt to start flame wars and post stuff similar to this and the site administrators will immediately delete the thread. They don't put up with stuff like this.

Please don't take this the wrong way I'm not trying to get people to go to performancetrucks.net or tell people how to run this site. Just sharing information.

Nice site, but looks like it's 99.9% Big 3 truck talk. 48,000 members and barely anything going on in the "foreign" section. Did notice that The Head is the mod of that section.

It is mostly big 3 because not enough of you guys or toyota guys go there. Could you imagine what kind of knowledge could be shared there if Toyota and Nissan got more involved with that site? Again I'm not trying to promote that site.

Well I think you'll find that most of the Titan performance talk is taking place on forums like TitanTalk.

I agree, this is a great site, prob the best Titan site on the net. Performance Truck.net started from ls1tech.com. Just think if they would add in Titan Talk so basically it would be run by the same people just all under the one name. I think it would be cool althought I'm sure others would disagree.

Also, besides coming here because a friend has a Titan, I like to keep up with all trucks to get info on new year models as this will help me to make a decision on my next truck purchase. It would be more convenient for some people to go to one site with as much info as these sites have and a place where the administrators wouldn't tolerate childish behavior. Just throwing some ideas out there.

I would hope they wouldn't consider that childish behavior. That's funny.

I could lliterally hurt myself laughing at fart stories. Maybe we could start a new thread about that?
