Lost:my Keys!

Hello Everyone, Both Of My Keys With The Remotes Have Been Lost!
All I Have Left Is My Valet Key. My Wife Went To Our "friendly " Dealer . They Told Her $35.00 A Key , $100.00 To Reprogram The Truck
And Wasnt Sure How Much The Remote Was But It Was Really Expensive. Are The Titan Keys "smart" Keys? I Looked On Ebay And They Are Selling Remotes For $20 To $30 Bucks And Come With Instructions For Reprograming. Has Any One Dealt With This Problem Before ? Any Advise ? Thank You

You can buy the remotes from eBay and program them yourself, but you can't program the keys. They are "smart" keys (they use a microchip). The valet key will have to be reprogrammed when you have the new keys made by the dealer.

There is some one here on this board and on the other that sells the remotes for a very reasonable price. Instructions for programming them are on both boards.

The key is another matter. Logically there should be a process in place to duplicate a key with the original code. That would be the logic process after verification of ownership etc, but then that would be the logical process. An owner on a trip should not have to bring in the truck to get a key made as the truck could be on a trail in Moab!!

Take all your documents and call the Nissan central "customer relations" folks.

Call your local locksmiths! We carry both keys and remotes for the new vehicles, Titans included. We also have the necessary equipment to program the keys. We are cheaper than the dealer by quite a bit here in Utah. It will save you money, I can almost guarantee it! And the keys and fobs we carry are OEM.

Sorry, I know guys in San Francisco and Sacramento but I can't think of anyone in San Diego right off the bat. Look in the phone book for companies that say they do "high security, chip keys, immobilizer keys, transponder keys, etc... Then call and compare pricing. You will make out all right. If you have any questions about the keys, let me know!
