I think group buys are awesome! I can't post here if advertisers object to them.

Let's figure out what is going on here and get this stuff straightened out. I don't want to spend RETAIL on my parts. That's why I use the Net to search things out. If a company likes to run group buys to make a quick buck off of 15 people or to promote a product - that's great. I'll sit around and wait for the group buy before making my purchase. If I wanted to pay retail for a part I'd ask my local Nissan dealer to order it for me or another expensive shop that spends big bucks on newspaper ads.

I do the same with my NSX, I did the same with my 528 and 740 BMW.

This is the first forum I have seen to shut them down. I was messaged about my Banks group buy and was directed somewhere else to post. Can we not post here about this type of thing?

Please don't jump to conclusions without all the facts. I understand your frustration, but we're Titan owners too and like to find the best deals. GB's are always welcome, but we ask that you follow a few simple rules before starting one. As always, if you have any questions, I'm always glad to help.

Perhaps the whole process can be optimized and the onus reduced on prospective customers by starting a new section similar to the for sale section. "Group Buy RFQ" This way any interested supporting vendor can find ready customers (making this site more valuable to them!), and any one looking for certain items can get a faster turn-around from all parts of this Titan Nation including the moderators.

Just a humble suggestion from a pedestrian Titan owner who is not totally taken up with his truck.

I have read the rules and still do not understand why the banks group buy was shut down. It is my understanding that several of the supporting vendors had a chance to host the buy, but nobody ever got a response. Therefore somebody found a vendor that would and posted the info as a favor to us. To be honest, what has been going on here is just wrong.

We clarified the rules last night. Within 12 hours they had already set things up with a vendor who does not advertise here. I dont see where they made any attempt to contact a supporting vendor here and set up a group buy. In fact, they hijacked a thread to continue their group buy with pretty much no regard for our rules.

Is that mean Twizted has been banned from here?

I read some of his posts. He's a very cool guy. He posted many helpful tips to the members here. He shouldn't get banned like that. If worst, just let him know what he did wrong (????).

Twizted has not been banned, you can tell a members status by looking under their user name.
