TSB for AC

Just currious to see how those that took their truck in for the TSB work on the AC fared. What all did the stealer do to the AC system and how are the results?

I've been waiting for the right time to take mine in and get this performed, as the AC barely gets cold. Just wondering if it's worth it.

Mine was not cooling at idle, that's exactly what the TSB is for. Not that it doesn't blow cold when moving... it always blew ice cold.

Anyways they reprogrammed the ECU and replaced the fan. Still didn't have a fix for the A/C drain problem!! So I advise you do that on your own.

Had mine done....after leaving gregs house I went to vegas...in 118 heat it was blowing nothing but warm air. After the TSB it is better...but it still isnt what I would call really cold. It is a lot better though...well worth the TSB trip.

My AC would just quit blowing cold air at times when it was hot outside and I was in stop and go traffic. Two days after I had the AC TSB done we evacuated Houston so I had 19 hours of stop and go traffic. In the first 9 hours and 5 miles it never did shut off the compressor but the AC did quit cooling and I would have to let it rest for 30 minutes or so then I could get some cooling for about 15 to 20 minutes (117 degrees is what my mirror temp was reading). Once we were moving again it got ice cold. Several times after we had been moving and were slowed to a crawl again I could here the compressor shut off and then a second later restart, once however it didn't restart until I shut off the AC AND FAN , then turned it right back on and it worked fine. I say get the fix. The fan is definately quiter now and has a deeper sound than the previous screaming noise I had...it's not quiet though just quieter.
