Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

I just bought the first 08 XE in this area. Do you have any information on changes to it vs. prior years ? I traded in my 05, and the only major change that nobody mentioned was the exhaust system; the 08 has two real header pipes going into a dual inlet, single outlet muffler.

Thanks, TJHedge

Actually I need to update this with both '07 and '08 info. FWIW, the dual in/single out exhaust came out with the '07.

A Texas Titan special package was produced. It came with chromed wheels, chrome side steps, a "Texas Titan" emblem on the tailgate, and floor mats with the Texas Titan logo.

it also comes with chrome mirror covers, under the rear seat storage bin and fog lights

I just traded in my 04 XE CC 4x4 and bought a 08 LE CC 4x4 and noticed a great change I have not read about here yet. The rear window is much lower so one can see the outline of the bed or the tailgate much easier. It makes it so much easier when I am backing my bass boat down a steep boat launch.

Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

Does anyone know why there are holes on the inside sides of the bed. I am looking to trade my 04 for an 08 but on the side walls of the bed, the 08 has four holes while my 08 has the same patterns but the holes are covered. Any ideas?

Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

I'm sorry for the cross post, I was trying to avoid a new thread and replied too early on the other.

Hello, I have an '08 Longbed that I use to tow my race car. It has been great so far, tows like a dream.
When the truck was only a month old a piece of road debris hit the grill and damaged it.

Does anyone know if the grills from other model years are compatible with my truck?

Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

Can you update the list for the '08's or even the '08.5's? I really appreciate the original post that was very insightful.

Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

I have an 08 SE CC short bed. What are the differences between the 2008 and 2008.5?

Re: Nissan Titan History (Model Year Changes)

I recently purchased a 2008.5 in Nov 2007 and the most notible difference is the option of the 7'3" bed. I have the 4x4 LE CC with everything on it except the Nissan DVD Mobile Theater System (8.0" monitor, DVD player with remote control, two wireless headphones and auxiliary inputs). Other then the longer bed, I don't believe there is much difference. You get a pretty good idea of what is available using the Nissan website.
