Question Dash Board Light

Just about 6 thousand miles and have done mostly daytime driving, so can't really say when this problem happened, or what it might be. This is why I'm asking. Turning the lights on should light up the dash instrumental panel and gages. Well some times it works and sometime not. The lights will come on and then either fade to not so bright to go out. The only light that stays on is the one that shows the trip/mileage. So guess looking to see if anyone else had/has
this problem... fuse or electrical... ?

Maybe a bad connection at the dimmer knob, or a bad dimmer knob itself?

Hmmm...No paradise by the dashboard light here.

This just all happens by itself, it goes from super bright, off, dim, and maybe back to super bright, not quickly dhanging, but may alter 1/2 doz times in about a 20 min. ride. No pattern. At first thought about the knob that you can set the amount of alumination, but I hadn't touched a thing and think it was turned for the brightest setting. Also tested to see what it would do by turning on the different levels, running lights to full, and it still did the same.

run that dimmer roll switch all the way down and all the way back. Then set it to your desired level.
Others have had issues and this seemed to resolve it. Just like an old radio that would crackle when you adjusted the settings. The contacts get dirty.

DID U EVER BY ANY CHANCE TAKE IT TO THE DEALER before it happened...this happened to me but with my brake light...I had taken it to the dealer and the dumb people I guess disconnected the pin and when they connected it back they connected it but backwards and it wasdnt making a good connection...I checked and saw it was loose...turned it around and stopped doing it...maybe check where it connects and see if somethings loose...

Phlydude,
Well today I did that and perhaps that may have resolved the problem. Going to test the
next several days.
Did the auto mode today and it worked like it should. Tomorrow the running lights,
next day full lights. Hard to believe it would be something so simple, but hoping that took care of the problem.

just remember to roll it all the way down and back every once in a while to keep the contacts from getting dirty or oxidized
Even the best switches do this...I was a sound tech for a band once and the damn board would do this all the time. More than likely dissimilar metals causing premature oxidation.
