Move subwoofer to passenger side?

I have a 2005 CC LE 4X4 with the power, non-bench seats. To help my visibility because I'm tall, I am going to have my driver's seat lowered a couple inches. It looks like the sub could easily move to the passenger's side. The contour for the rear air ducts are the same and the space appears to be identical. Aside from moving the wiring and mounting it, do you think this will work?

I am going to have the shop that is doing the seat move the sub if need be. The guy doing it is really good and has been doing interior mods on cars for many years. He is pretty sure it can be done but cautioned me that if he isn't 100% sure, he won't do it. I feel pretty confident in the people doing the work. I really love this truck but the low windshield and tint strip are giving me a sore neck from hunching over. Hopefully, this will work... thanks for any input.

Hopefully you don't have OEM NAV as they mount the NAV DVD player under the passenger seat. The existing threaded mounting holes in the floor probably don't match from passenger to driver side but I assume that some suitable adaptions could be made. (new holes in sub box sealed with silicone if required or perhaps just put "hook" Velcro on the bottom of the sub box to engage the carpet.)

The other alternative would be toss the OEM sub and get a decent amp and a good sub mounted under one (or both) of the back seats.

One "off the shelf" example:

I thought about the back seat idea but I really like the space the way it is... that would be an options though... no navigation system and space beneath the pass. seat looks plenty big... it's lucky that they make the seat motor the for the pass. seat similar to the drivers... it's pretty slim and out of the way... my repair guy says that most of the time the p-seat motors get in the way of lowering seats.

I would hate to meet you in an alley all by my self! lol I am 5'11'' and have about 6 inches of headroom left. On a more serious note: maybe you could ask the dealer if they have smaller mounting brackets for the drivers seat. Or see if your friend can fabracate some. (just my two cents worth)

Checked with the dealer... no luck - My guy said he will look at it when he pulls the seat and likely fab some new brackets.

It's funny, I still have plenty of headroom... it's really just my line of sight out of the vehicle. The top of the windshield is pretty low and the tint strip doesn't help. I checked on getting a new shield w/o the tint and as of a couple months ago, nobody made one yet... they said it just depends on when some after market manufacturer feels like making one.

You must be taller than 6'5" my friend. lol

I'm 6'3" and its like 3-4 inches of nice head room.

The sub will move easily enough. Its just the bolts that mount it down and the wiring. But i'm sure people who do interior custom jobs will find this job 3/5 in difficulty level.
