Is the Titan's engine a perfect 90 degrees?

the Titan Engine seem very smooth, I was wonder if it is built on a true 90 degree or like a 65. Also, does anyone know where Nissan got the ideal for the engine? I have hear that it was a italian idea, possibly from a italian sports car? Not sure.

that drawing doesn't really come out and say it... but it appears to be 90 deg.

in geometry there is a symbol for a right angle and I don't see it in that drawing.

But it doesn't actually come out and say that the other angle, although appearing to be identical to the other, is in fact 45 degrees. So we are left to speculate. . . .

I found this article that was written back in 2002. Below he stats that it is a 90 degress. Any takes?
http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/2004...nterview1.html

PUTC: Do you see a performance version in the future like the Ford Lightning, Chevy Silverado SS, or Dodge SRT-10?

Dominique: We spent a lot of time talking about this; it all goes back to credibility and establishing ourselves. We had to look at the lifecycle and beyond of the ZW, and I see potential for a performance version. But the base truck is going to have good horsepower to start, with a good powertrain, good technology, and a solid platform. I'll have lots of flexibility with what I can do. As a matter of fact, when they designed the new direct 90-degree V-block V-8, I made sure it would be able to accommodate a supercharger.

A 90degree V8 4 stroke is a balanced engine. I cant think of any reasone anyone would build a 4 stroke v8 that wasnt 90 degrees, unless you loved vibrations. and in that drawing, the fact that he opposite side ISNT stated means that its a the same angle.

That article was a good read. especially where he says it would be able to acommodate a Supercharger as this means they designed the components to handle a considerable amount of additional horsepower hence the 4 bolt mains etc. I also liked where it said "The Japanese noted that since this was not a military vehicle, what did we need a V-8 engine for?" They make V8s tough enough for military vehicles!!

It would stand to reason that it is 90 degrees and often times the obvious is left of of drawings. Although if this were say a Ford for example I might have cause to wonder.

An inline is best as far as balance. 60 degrees is next, but I don't believe you'd find many 60* V8s..I guess because of room.
