They're always turning.

I think they are just advertsising the fact that you don't have to get out of the truck and manually lock the hubs. I'm told that we have one joint that unlocks on the right side (pass. side) of the front axle assembly and that one joint that unlocks allows both wheels to turn and is easier to maintain than one lock-unlock mechanism at each wheel.

Actually, I have always wondered about this. So if I don't use 4wd all summer, does that mean that the front dif is not getting the gears lubed until I put it in 4wd?

Interesting. They replaced the inner and outer bearings on the right side of my front differential.

There is definitely movement in the front diff. while in 2WD. Why else would the manual state that you have tow the Titan on a flat bed tow truck or with dolly's on the front and the back. If we could put the transfer case in neutral that may solve the problem, but we can't. I can tow our F-350, Dodge 3500 and my 85 Toyota by putting the tansfer case in neutral and unlocking the hubs. You can also tow them with just 2 wheels on the ground (flat bed or dolly's not needed).
