Whistling sound when starting?

When I start my car cold or sitting long,it has a whistling sound from the engine bay.Has anyone encountered this?Is it minor or should I call the stealership? It goes away after it warms up.Thanks

Man, that happened to me once! It turned out that someone came in at night and installed a turbo! JK. I would have it checked, just in case. You could have a gap in your intake that closes when it heats up. Could be something completely harmless. Take it in, anyway, that's what the warranty is for.

Mine does exactly the same thing. It's done it since day one, so I didn't give it much thought...

Check the belts. My Dad toyota did the same thing. He took it to the dealer. They replaced the belt. The whistle noise was gone after that.

I wonder if this will rise as a frequently asked question from other Titans?I do hope that it's nothing major. But I'll call the dealer and see what they have to say.

I've noticed this too as of late. Kinda sounds like a nose whistle. I had a bad water pump a couple thousand miles ago (currently around 8400 on the ODO) and they mentioned something about some vacume valve or something being clogged, but that wasn't my problem at the time. My wanna check to see if there's any TSB's on this.
