Check this caution out on this tsb

Can anyone explain why when leaving the negative battery cable dissconnected for longer than an hour you may have lost idle setting, and may have problems starting vehicle. I think Rockmountains ECU reset is looking real good now.

If that's the case you're in the same predicament if your battery dies. Did you call the dealer and inquire about this? What reset are you referring to?

I want to get this wire harness tsb done, but i dont want them to tear into the dash. I wonder if i take it apart then take it to them . The service guys all wonder how i always know about the tsb's and other common problems. I'll keep this site my little secret.

I had the wiring harness TSB done with no problems. That setting they talk about will only cause a hard to start situation. It will start and when it does, the ECU sets the idle automatically. I learned this early on before the TSB when I disconnected the battery overnight and called Nissan because it didn't want to start as easy as it always did.

There's no need to tear down your truck for that tsb, I don't even have to remove any thing but the harness to get it done and... there are reponsible Techs out there and they have feeling too.

Thre's some dirt in my tires. Maybe it will cause them to fail and I'll flip? I better not drive my SUV. Why hasn't Nissan addressed this issue. Poor me!

thanks for the info Hudson Valley...my question wasn't so much a "why" rather a "how would I fix it then...."

Clint...the ECU reset procedures can be found here... http://www.titantalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25118& ...along with throttle position and accelerator position....
